Aren't you????

Tonight I was at a lovely event downtown. Had nothing to do with teaching, just one of my passions.

During this event I was able to hear Jeanie White- Ginder and Greg Luganis speak. Powerful event.

So how does this turn in to a laughable teaching moment? Here’s how.

After the event, I am standing in line ( a very long line) waiting to have my book signed. (I’m a sucker for this. Just so you know) Minding my own business, I promise! When I see a parent and student who used to go to my school come out of the restroom.

Parent walks up to me and offers me this gem:

Aren’t you that teacher that works at IMSN?

Yes, yes I am. (so wanted to say nope sorry but I buried the sarcasm.)

Do you remember who I am? I’m M and C’s mom.

(biting my lip by this point?) Yes of course I remember you!!! (they only left in August)

Well that’s great! It was good seeing you!
