New Semester

We are partially through January which means we have started a new semester. The laughs keep on coming.

What we have seen so far:

Called a parent to follow up on child saying that he is moving. Parent phone went straight to voice mail with the message:

I am out of town, I can't be reached, my phone doesn't work, and I will get back to you when I am back in town. Good cause you know you don't have 2 kids in school.

Short weeks are always fun, they provide unique challenges. This week has been no different.

Friday we ended the week with a fight between two of my students. One willingly came out of the classroom after said fight, explaining why he was right. The other refused to leave the room saying he did nothing wrong at all....

Monday No School (it was recommended that I take my nephew to the children's museum because it is free. No thanks, I will pay admission - less crowds.

Tuesday -
One of my students felt the need to punch another student in the nose after the other student had flipped him the middle finger. Cause you know that's what we do. It was so bad that said student ended up in the ER with a bad broken nose (the worst one that our dean has ever seen)

Wednesday -
Snow hits at rush hour  cause that is never ever a good start to the day...
2 hour delay
Honor's day is scheduled for the day. We continue on with Honor's day instead of moving it. K-5 does it in their rooms. Middle school does theirs in the gym cause you know that's fair.
Had a student (not mine) in tears in the office crying because another student balled up his paper and threw it away because he finished first. Despite they were competing to see who got done first.
